Odyssey Golf has long been recognized as the #1 putter company on the tours and in the golf industry. At the recent PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, it seems Austie Rollinson and his creative team at Odyssey have produced another home run in putter innovation. Starting in April, Odyssey's Toe Up putter will hit the market. It is the first fully balanced putter produced. Instead of toe-down or face-balanced, Odyssey has move much of the weight to the neck of the putter. When you balance this putter of your finger, the toe sticks straight up in the air...unheard of for any putter on the market until now. By moving the weight to the neck of the putter, it will reduce torque and can be used equally effective with both straight back to straight through putters, as well as slightly arced strokes. The putter face is much easier to keep square and return to square for those arcing strokes. I saw both a blade and mallet model at the PGA Show last week. I have truly never felt a more balanced putter in my hands...it should be a hot item when it comes out on retail markets in a few months.
